Wishing you a clear 2020 vision of transportation in Santa Cruz County!
Dear Friends and Supporters,

Imagine Santa Cruz County transformed by a clean, integrated transportation network. From Watsonville to Davenport a 32-mile paved pedestrian and bike trail runs the full length of the county. Parallel to the trail, a clean, quiet, modern rail service carries passengers back and forth between Watsonville and Santa Cruz. At each station, people easily roll bikes, strollers, walkers, and wheelchairs on and off to access buses, bikes, cars, trails, and other first and last-mile options.
Together these elements work synergistically to provide a network of convenient, safe, and healthy ways to get to schools, businesses, parks, and our beautiful array of coastal and mountain open spaces. This modern transportation network serves the needs of both commuters and recreational users while reducing transportation air pollution.

The rail corridor is located within a mile of 92 parks, 44 schools and half the county’s population. Putting it to work as the backbone of a robust countywide transportation system will be an enduring legacy for our future community.
